The Islander Cheerleading Team is a competitive cheer squad. All members of the cheerleading team will be required to participate at several events, including, but not limited to, volleyball and basketball games, competitions, camps, and campus activities as well as community evens which run throughout the school year. TAMU-CC is looking for talented individuals who meet the required skills and possess a positive attitude. Both men and women are encouraged to try out. A limited number of squad members will receive a $1000 scholarship each year. All expenses are covered by the university.

The Islander Dance Team was founded in order to develop dance ands performance abilities, encourage the enrichment of physical fitness, self-esteem, and school spirit. Tryouts occur in March and April.

Izzy the Islander attends most home athletic events for volleyball and basketball, with a few select home baseball and softball games as well as on campus and off campus events that promote school spirit and the University. 

The BLUE CREW is a chance to get involved with the Islander Basketball teams. Members are required to be loud, wild, and crazy at games while helping the Islanders achieve a winning record in the American Bank Center. Membership is your chance to win great prizes designed for Blue Crew Members. Each game will give members the chance to win close to $50-$100 in prizes and merchandise from Islander Sponsors.
